Information Architecture & Navigation Strategy:

Saturn is a mobile-first budgeting app created as part of our capstone group project at the University of Texas at Austin. As a team, we collaborated on user research through surveys, competitive analysis, and card sorting to understand how users manage and prioritize financial tasks.

I used the research data to create Saturn's Information Architecture system and navigation structure. The bottom position of the primary navigation bar follows mobile usability standards and enables users to access it with one hand. The app's core categories—expenses, goals, and insights — follow the mental organization patterns users demonstrated during card-sorting exercises.
The RICE framework served as a tool to determine which features should be included in the MVP, helping us create a product foundation that delivers high impact to users while remaining easy to use.
